We Are Giving

Wander is the only recruitment company in the UK which commits 1% of our income to giving back some of the resources we consume in our operations. That’s 1% of everything we earn, for life. 

We are proud to work with 1% for the Planet, a network of over 2,000 like-minded businesses in 45 countries which have come together to contribute to efforts to avert a climate crisis and support communities and groups in need. 

One per cent may not sound like much, but it soon adds up. So far, 1% for the Planet signatories have contributed over $225 million to the approved environmental non-profits and organisations. Our goal is to do things differently, and to work with – and for – companies and individuals who feel the same way we do about people, products and the planet and the importance of giving back. So doing something like this feels very natural – and while we know we can’t save the world on our own, by joining a well-managed movement like this gives our giving a focus, and will ensure we’re accountable for our donations, during good years and bad. 

We’re delighted to be putting our money where our mouth is in this way, and being the first to do it as well. We want to help create change – changing people’s lives by finding them roles which fulfil them, and changing organisations by bringing them people who will help them fulfil their mission. 

But to change something, you have to be ready to give – and 1% feels like a great place to start.
